Purpose.
Self expression through harmonic vocals, rap and spoken word poetry are the main mediums in which he learned to tell his own story. J now resides in Missouri working with a Film Society as the community partnerships education manager curating community arts programs, working simultaneously with Mizzou University’s Theatre Dept. while also recording, performing solo work and other art collaborations.
J. ARTiz recently developed a sense of distinguishment within musical genre while recording and performing with music collective, "Loose Loose", (Jazz, Hip-Hop and R&B fusion) "Future Soul", a genre that’s in reflection of past, with projection of future while in our present cultural state. J seeks to continue inspiring a larger movement of cultural art, black liberation, higher consciousness through Afrofuturistic inspirations among the population of youth/ young adult communities and many more.
